John is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in practice for more than 25 years. He has worked as both a supervisor and a direct–service clinician, a role often referred to as a “Player-Coach.” He has also been a field supervisor for Social Work and Master‘s level students throughout his career. 

He is current with the knowledge and skills of evidence–based clinical practices. John earned his Master‘s Degree in Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is also a trained substance abuse counselor, mentor, and coach. 

John firmly believes that treatment begins with the client‘s identified concerns and goals and aims to help the clients discover the techniques and self–awareness needed to manage their life‘s difficulties and challenges, develop resilience, and learn to care for themselves.
